ABC has opted to remove the late-night program for the time being after host Jimmy Kimmel made remarks about the shooting of political influencer Charlie Kirk.

"Jimmy Kimmel Live will be suspended for now," a spokesperson of the channel stated.

During Monday night’s opening segment, Kimmel suggested that some conservatives were trying to score points from Kirk’s murder.

On Tuesday, a 22-year-old shooter showed up in legal proceedings accused of a serious crime over the shooting.

"The Maga Gang are attempting to label this shooter as something besides one of their own," remarked during his show.

The comedian, who has frequently been criticized from right-wing commentators, also mocked flags flown at half-staff in honor of Kirk and ridiculed the manner in which leaders responded following the event.

He included a clip showing a controversial individual discussing different matters following questions on the shooting.

"This is not how an adult responds a tragedy," remarked. "It’s more like how a child behaves to a loss."
