Skydance Paramount Will Eliminate Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – Update

Paramount Skydance is scheduled to begin significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, cutting about 2,000 American roles as part of a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.

These job cuts come after the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed this past August valued at $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are likely, with Paramount Skydance planning to disclose full details via its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.

Previous updates had indicated that Paramount was looking to cut between 2,000 to 3,000 jobs before the start of November.

As of December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff along with 3,500 temporary project employees.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented regarding the report.
